Scope Notes
Use as a form subdivision under names of individual persons who lived after 1400, individual families, classes of persons and ethnic groups for collections of portraits of those persons. Also use under names of individual religious and monastic orders and wars for portraits of persons associated with those orders and wars. For collections of art depicting persons who lived before 1400, use the subdivision [Art.]
